I'm thankful for Netflix. It brings in a wide variety of interesting and ridiculous, and therefore, entertaining television.
I was stuck at home sick yesterday and after I finished 3/4 of a season of How I Met Your Mother (that's right), I perused Netflix for other enjoyable fare.
I was hard-pressed to find some quality entertainment but decided on an 80s comedy with Bruce Willis and Kim Basinger. Blind Date was fairly entertaining for about 45 minutes but I couldn't handle how slow the movie ended up being so I abandoned it. Surprising. I rarely shut off a movie.
I then started shuffling through the other instant play movies and almost watched Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus. Yeah, I almost went there.
Who bank rolls these movies? Who puts that on their resume?
I finally decided upon The Kill Point. A made for tv mini-series about a bank robbery gone wrong. Seems like an interesting premise. I started watching it a few weeks back, but finally got around to watching the rest of it. It fits every single cliche in the crime story book. One cop who knows how to handle the situation in his own way, a stuck up chief who would rather do it his way because he has the title, a cocky sniper who thinks he's a philosopher, hard as nails female officer who has to be the voice of reason, FBI agent who thinks they can walk in at the last minute and solve it all, and a bank full of Stockholm syndrome victims. On the plus side, it's written like a bad B-movie and the only people who seem to know how to act are the lead cop and the lead bank robber.
Of course my only reason for watching it is Donnie Wahlberg. Yep. The NKOTB singer.
Tonight I think it'll be Hitchcock. :)

brand new year!!!
New Year's was odd. It didn't feel like anything was happening. Sounds weird, I know.
I felt the same for Christmas. I loved being with my family, but it still didn't feel quite like Christmas. My husband and I just weren't as into it this year as we have been in the past.
Oh well! Time to start anew. :)
I'm looking forward to this new year. We're going to buy a house! Yay for that headache and adventure. It's going to be fun. We're relying on God for everything and I know He's got great plans for us!!!!
I've also jumped headfirst into many craft projects and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. It's relaxing. Still haven't finished my crocheted blanket. Going on four years.
But you know what, I'm ok with it. My mom still hasn't finished stitching my birth announcement, so I figure I've got time.
Looking into Iron Craft and considering their year long challenge! One craft a week. Should be fun.......

The Friday Parade
There's this thing called The Friday Parade.
Everyone participates in The Friday Parade. It's the mental/physical song and dance that you do when the whistle blows and your weekend starts. Everybody has a Friday Parade. Mine was going pretty well today until people decided that they would rain on my Friday Parade.
That's right rain. And they did it and laughed!
A stack of paperwork thicker than a dictionary?
I think so!
I had the marching band ready, the streamers and confetti were about to be thrown! But, in came the evil rain clouds filled with paperwork.
Curses on you who choose to defile people's Friday Parades!

A few of my favorite things...
I love that song from The Sound of Music. How it became a Christmas song is beyond me, but anyway...
I've lately been thinking about a few of my favorite things. And I'm going to share them with you!
Here we go:
Pandora Radio
This was recommended by a friend (Hey Anna!!) and I love it. Especially at work. You can tailor tons of radio stations specifically to your tastes. So, my day will consist of Jars of Clay, Beethoven, and Marky Mark (yeah, that's right).
Panda Express
Panda Express = glorious fast food that may actually be good for you. Particulary the new Kobari Beef, currently my favorite thing on the menu.
Dollar Store Crafts
Ok, I just discovered this one today, but I can already tell it's going to be a favorite! Who doesn't want to make things out of stuff you have laying around the house? I'm not into this whole "green lifestyle", but I would have to say that's pretty much recycling in my mind!
Epbot
A blog about evrything geeky and girly. She is quite hilarious and inspiring!
BSF
I love diving deeper into the Bible and learning things I never knew and hearing God speak through our leaders. It's wonderful!
Brett Domino Trio
Thanks to my lovely friend Elizabeth, I am now a big fan of the Brett Domino Trio. I know there isn't the full trio in this video, but this is one of their best. You'll love it. Trust me.
The Catherine Tate Show
Thanks to Netflix for introducing this show. This is only one sketch from her entire show. It may not be the humor for everyone, but she makes me laugh!
And finally...
Doctor Who
Quite possibly my most favorite....favoritist? show ever! What's not to love? Aliens, time travel, Shakespeare, a blue police box, The Doctor!
Thanks again to Netflix, I have finished up to the fourth season and am patiently (not really) waiting for the fifth season to be released to DVD in November. Here is a synopsis of The Doctor.
These are just a few of things that I love, hope you can enjoy them too. :)
